Our Programs

Our Edmonton Sadochok is proud to offer a number of pre-school and after school programming options. All of our programs emphasis play based learning and exploratory learning through a variety of activities. We engage with our children in various ways that encourage and reinforce Ukrainian language and tradition.

Toddlers ( 20 months & up)

Most toddlers are filled with energy and an innate curiosity about the world around them. They’re also developing their sense of personality and independence. In our toddler classroom, we offer students an opportunity to engage in arts and crafts, free exploration and play, music and dance. Students learn Ukrainian traditions and celebrations, as well as participate in concerts throughout the school year.

Preschool (3-4 years)

Our preschool program prepares students for kindergarten by focusing on hands on learning, communication and cooperation skills, and fostering independence. In the preschool classroom, students engage in circle time, literacy and numeracy, arts and crafts based on themes, music, dance, scientific explorations, special in-classroom visits and Ukrainian cultural celebrations and concerts.

Afternoon Enrichment Program (Kindergarten)

This program aims to enhance a child’s Kindergarten experience and reinforce concepts and language learned in Kindergarten in a fun, relaxed, play-directed setting. Children improve their Ukrainian language skills, become familiar with the Ukrainian alphabet, gain deeper knowledge of the various themes, experience hands-on learning, and participate in Sadochok concerts. This is a wonderful program to help children strengthen friendships and transition into full school days as they prepare for school. Flexible enrollment.

Supervised Lunch Program

A supervised lunch program is available for children registered in the morning or afternoon Kindergarten program at St. Matthew School. Children are accompanied from the program to Sadochok, immediately following the conclusion of class OR from Sadochok to the program.
